We did it Joe… we did it. We launched your small business blog and it’s ready to go. But now the problem. CONTENT! Content is QUEEN! Have a regular schedule for how often you would like to publish. No idea is a bad idea. Keep a list, a journal, a Google Drive. Stay organized. Use Links. Post at 10:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday. I am giving you more than 5 ideas, sheesh.
Personality tests help us to learn about our employees and clients. They inform motives, desires, purposes… it helps to bring to light which employees work well together and which ones don’t. Also, how to support employees in the way that is most helpful. It’s a streamlined ice breaker.
Build trust. “A new visitor shouldn’t have to give you their home address.” You would build a relationship and get to know a person n a bar before you ask them for their phone number right? Contact forms work the same way.
Portraits of your employees highlight the humans behind the business. They build trust and authenticity. Portraits, headshots, formal photos, etc… also look professional. They communicate to your customers that you and your employees take their services seriously. Finally, employees will complain about taking pictures, but they love it. I cater the day of the shoot we take pictures. it is a day to celebrate a successful business growing and moving forward.
Business cards give automatic credibility. They are easy to distribute and cheap to make. I got a Popl and haven’t turned back since. Stick it on the back of your phone, or a key chain. People can put their phone up to yours and get instant access to your contact card, a text box, links to your website, as well as all your social media profiles.
Branded clothing, uniforms, and putting your business’s logo on goodies, help to communicate to the world that “we are all working together for a common goal.” This is important, especially in small businesses.
If you are a small business owner and you have a logo but you need a new one or maybe you don’t have a logo at all or maybe you don’t think you need one but not you are considering it please reach out to me i will be happy to help
When I get scared, I tend to ask a lot of questions. Starting a business is scary, so I have a lot of questions! I am also a life long learner. It’s one of the things I love about working in marketing. I get to learn new things all the time. On Monday I am a social media manager. And Tuesday I am a contractor. And Wednesday I am a criminal defense attorney. And Friday I am a stylist.
I literally cannot believe I am sharing this with you guys. So here is what I wrote up when I first got my business idea. I shared it with my closest friend and she was so excited for me. I scribbled this whole thing down in one shot. It felt like my brain was ON FIRE. I don’t know if this is actually what my business will be like… but it’s cool to have.
